Dr. Arvin Shmilovich is a Boeing Technical Fellow with over 35 years of expertise in Computational Fluid Dynamics, aerodynamics, propulsion, and flow control. Throughout his career, he has developed numerous computational tools that have provided critical solutions for operational issues across various Boeing products. Additionally, Dr. Shmilovich has pioneered novel technologies under government programs, leading research collaborations with Stanford University and Caltech. His innovative work has earned him over 40 patents in areas such as aerodynamic and propulsion/airframe integration, flow control, noise reduction, and energy harvesting.Â
Materials, Process & Physics Engineer
Gracio Joyal Lobo is a Materials, Process & Physics Engineer at Boeing Research & Technology, based in Bengaluru, India. As part of a specialised team of Manufacturing Technology Integration experts, Gracio plays a key role in developing and implementing advanced manufacturing technologies and processes for Boeing's Commercial Airplane programs. His work includes performing life cycle assessments on metal and polymer additively manufactured flight hardware to measure the sustainability benefits of additive manufacturing. Before joining Boeing, Gracio was a Manufacturing Engineer at Aequs Aerospace, where he contributed to various aerostructure machining and assembly projects, earning the INAE Innovative Project award for his work on an innovative wing design.Â
Chief Executive Officer
Mohd Shahiman Sulaiman is the CEO of Turkish Aerospace Malaysia, where he leads the strategic vision and execution of the company’s growth and operational plans. With a strong background in frontier technology development, Shahiman has extensive experience in establishing corporate governance, driving profitability, and expanding organisational capabilities. Before his current role, he held senior leadership positions at MIMOS Berhad, where he successfully led the commercialization of over 25 products and 60 IPs, and secured international R&D contracts. Shahiman is also a member of the Board of Governors at the University Malaysia of Computer Science & Engineering (UNIMY) and has played a pivotal role in influencing government policy for the IC design industry in Malaysia.Â
President, Aerospace Division
Dato’ Ir. Abdul Rashid Musa is the Group Chief Mobility & Innovation Officer at UMW Holdings and concurrently serves as the President of the Aerospace Division. With over 32 years of experience in the automotive industry, he has played a pivotal role in the development and launch of several successful models at Proton, including the X70. Since joining UMW in 2019, Dato' Rashid has led the Manufacturing & Engineering Division, achieving the first profit in UMW's new aerospace venture within his first year. He is instrumental in driving UMW's strategic shift towards mobility and new product innovation, establishing collaborations with universities and government agencies to advance green technology products.Â

Rayven Jay is the Chief Technical Officer, responsible for ensuring the development and viability of the company's engineering capabilities to meet its business demands. With over 18 years of experience in aerospace engineering, Rayven has successfully developed more than five key engineering capabilities within the company and crafted a 3-year technology roadmap aligned with the company’s diversification goals. He is a key figure in the company’s internal training programs, serving as the primary trainer for capability development. Throughout his career, Rayven has led nearly 50 projects, providing technical leadership and consultancy to OEM clients.Â

Chief Stress Engineer
Mo Limalia, the Chief Stress Engineer at Spirit Aerosystems Malaysia, brings over 38 years of advanced structures engineering experience, with a specialisation in composites. Mo has played a leading role in major OEM projects globally, working in 14 different countries. His extensive career includes key positions such as Chief Engineer and Engineering Director, where he has made significant contributions to projects like the A340 Thrust Reverser, A380 Nacelles, and A350 IFLE Design. Mo has also been instrumental in mentoring industry leaders, implementing engineering offices in Asia, and collaborating with universities to develop aerospace engineering programs. His expertise spans multiple industries, making him a highly respected figure in the field of aerospace engineering.

JC Lee, Senior Technical Manager at Dassault Systèmes, brings over 25 years of experience in design, simulation, and manufacturing across diverse industries, including automotive, aerospace, and mining in Australia and Southeast Asia. Known for his ability to understand and solve complex business and technical challenges, JC is dedicated to delivering industry best practices and developing world-class business partnerships. His mission at Dassault Systèmes focuses on simplifying technical complexity, continuously learning, and mentoring others in emerging technologies.
Ahmad Faiz Mohammad Ansar
Director of Architecture and Avionics Engineering Services
Ahmad Faiz is the Director of Architecture and Avionics Engineering Services at Kontron, where he oversees global operations and manages software teams across the UK and Austria. With over 20 years of industrial experience, 14 of which have been focused on embedded technology design, Ahmad has played a key role in expanding Kontron's engineering services beyond avionics to include communication, transportation, and defense systems. His leadership has been instrumental in developing global avionics software product management and roadmap strategies, as well as supporting Kontron's architecture teams in Penang. Ahmad holds a Bachelor of Electrical & Electronic Engineering (Hons) from AIMST University, where he was awarded Best Engineering Student, and a diploma in Sound Engineering from SAE College, Malaysia.
Head of Design Engineering
Liow Shi Wei is an accomplished aerospace engineer and the Head of Design Engineering at Spirit Aerosystems Malaysia, where he leads the Design and Stress engineering functions. With over 15 years of experience in aerostructures design, he has made significant contributions to various aircraft programs, including the Airbus A350XWB, Airbus A220, Mitsubishi Regional Jet, and Dornier Seastar. Liow spearheaded the establishment of the Spirit Aerosystems Malaysia Design Centre in 2020 and is an Airbus A1020 delegated design approver for the Airbus A350XWB-Section 15 mid fuselage program. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering (Honors), graduating Magna Cum Laude from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and is a certified FAA Private Pilot License (PPL) holder.
Supply Chain Controller
Nur Farzana Amirah Zairul Hisham is a passionate aviation enthusiast and Supply Chain Controller at Spirit AeroSystems Malaysia. With a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical-Aeronautics from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Nur Farzana has gained valuable experience across various roles in the aerospace industry, including internships at NAICO Malaysia and the Ministry of Investment, Trade, and Industry (MITI). She has been actively involved in organising significant industry events, such as the UTM Aircraft Design Exhibition 2023 and MyAERO'22. Nur Farzana’s dedication to aerospace is further exemplified by her participation in a student exchange program at ZHAW School of Engineering in Switzerland.
Senior Lecturer
Assoc. Prof. Ir. Dr. Shabudin Mat is a Senior Lecturer at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) with a distinguished academic background in aeronautical engineering. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Engineering from UTM, a Master's in Aeronautical Maintenance and Production from ENSICA, Toulouse, France, and a PhD in Low-Speed Aerodynamics from the University of Glasgow. Dr. Shabudin's current research focuses on the development of delta wing aerodynamics in low-speed wind tunnels. He has supervised two Master's students and has an extensive publication record, including three journal papers, seven international papers, and seven technical reports. In addition to his academic work, he serves as an Accreditation Assessor for the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) and is a Chartered Engineer with ECUK and a Member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE).

Julian Francis is a highly motivated and goal-driven professional with extensive experience in the aerospace component MRO industry, serving both civil and defense markets across the Asia Pacific region. As the Sales Manager for Sunaero, Julian is responsible for driving revenue growth by developing strategic relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders. His expertise includes formulating sales strategies to promote Sunaero's cutting-edge technologies and managing a sales team to achieve targets. With a background in Aviation Management from Universiti Kuala Lumpur, Julian has also held key roles at BHIC Aeroservices and CTRM Aviation, where he focused on business development and commercial operations.
Senior Lecturer
Ir. Dr. Istas Fahrurrazi Nusyirwan is a Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). With a PhD in Aerospace Engineering from RMIT University, Australia, and extensive experience in mechanical and aerospace engineering, Dr. Istas specializes in parallel evolutionary programming techniques for air combat scenarios, radar data processing, and simulation technologies. He is a registered Professional Engineer with the Board of Engineers Malaysia and has contributed to numerous research projects and publications. Dr. Istas is also actively involved in developing systems for air traffic management and flight simulation in collaboration with the Civil Aviation Authority Malaysia.

Prof. Ts. Shamsul Kamar Abu Samah is the Chief Executive Officer of the National Aerospace Industry Corporation Malaysia (NAICO Malaysia), with nearly two decades of experience in the aerospace industry. He has played a key role in policy formulation, ecosystem development, human capital development, and Research & Technology (R&T) in Malaysia's aerospace sector. A Professional Technologist (Ts) endorsed by the Malaysian Board of Technologists, Shamsul holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Portsmouth. His career includes leadership roles at the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI) and the Aerospace Malaysia Innovation Centre, where he significantly contributed to the advancement of Malaysia’s aerospace industry.

Varun Keskar is the Regional Sales Head for Cirium in the APAC South region, where he leads sales initiatives for aviation data and analytics solutions. With over a decade of experience in business development and market research, Varun specialises in connecting with key stakeholders and providing actionable insights to the aviation finance ecosystem, including sectors like banking, aircraft leasing, insurance, and asset management. His role involves opening new markets, driving deals from inception to closure, and collaborating with governments to promote aviation financing. Varun holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from the University of Wales and a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from the University of Pune.

Amrul Zeflin Anim is a seasoned aviation consultant and the Director at PwC Malaysia, bringing over two decades of experience in the aviation industry. Before joining PwC, he served as the Director of Dilog Training & Services, an approved training organisation by CAA Malaysia, where he played a pivotal role in pioneering aviation training and language proficiency testing for licensed maintenance personnel in Malaysia. Amrul has also held senior advisory roles and was the Accountable Manager at Sapura Technics. His extensive background in aviation and consulting makes him a key figure in the industry, known for his leadership and expertise in training and compliance.

Yuli Thompson is the Area Manager for South-East Asia at the International Air Transport Association (IATA), overseeing IATA's operations across nine territories, including Malaysia, Brunei, and Indonesia. With 20 years of experience as a commercial leader in the airline industry, Yuli has a strong background in sales distribution, fleet planning, revenue management, and strategic alliances. Her career spans key roles at Virgin Atlantic, AirAsia Super App, and Singapore Airlines, where she led transformation projects and developed airline partnerships. Yuli holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the London School of Economics and a Bachelor of Arts in Theology & Pastoral Studies from Oak Hill Theological College.

Associate Professor
Dr. Muhammad Hanafi Azami is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). With a PhD in Aerospace Engineering from Cranfield University, his research focuses on aerospace propulsion technologies, including hybrid rocket technology, aero-gas turbine performance, and alternative fuels. Dr. Hanafi has published extensively in reputable journals and presented at numerous international conferences. He is actively involved in various professional organisations, including the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) and the Malaysia Board of Technologists (MBOT). Additionally, he serves as an Executive Board Member of the Southeast Asia Network for Aerospace Engineering (SANAE) and is a consultant for Lestari Aero Sdn Bhd.
Senior Manager
Raja Sharmaine Raja Saifulizan is the Senior Manager at the Selangor Darul Ehsan Aerospace Coordination Office (S-DAICO), where she drives strategy and business development for the aerospace industry in Selangor. With a background in aeronautical engineering from City University London, she has extensive experience in product management, digital delivery, and technology consulting. Raja Sharmaine has previously held key roles at Boost, Digi Telecommunications, and Accenture, where she was involved in large-scale digital transformation projects and system migrations. Her expertise in creative problem-solving and strategic planning has made her a pivotal figure in advancing Selangor's aerospace industry.
Honorary Secretary of TAM-AWG
Tc. Mohd Nazrul is a dynamic and detail-oriented Aircraft Technician with 18 years of experience in aviation maintenance and management within the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF). Currently serving as Assistant Staff 2 Aircraft Configuration, he oversees maintenance activities, ensuring adherence to stringent safety standards and effective coordination between departments. In addition to his role in the RMAF, Tc. Mohd Nazrul is the Honorary Secretary of the Technological Association Malaysia-Aviation Working Group (TAM-AWG). He is also pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Transportation and Logistics at Malaysia University of Science and Technology (MUST), aiming to integrate his practical experience with academic knowledge to drive operational excellence in aviation.
MBOT Board Member
Tc. Haziq Saifuddin is a dedicated Aero Turbine Overhaul Technician at GE Aerospace, with over seven years of experience in turbine overhaul and maintenance. He holds an EASA Part 66 Aircraft Maintenance Technician certification and specializes in the overhaul of CFM 56 turbines. Tc. Haziq's expertise includes mechanical inspections, turbine balancing, and calibration, and he has played a key role in various high-profile projects, including the Tapis EOR Brownfield and Rejuvenation Project with ExxonMobil. In addition to his technical role, he is currently serving as a Board Member of the Malaysian Board of Technologists (MBOT), reflecting his commitment to advancing the aviation industry.
Ts. Karnanethe A/L Ramasamy
TAM-AWG Chairman & TAM Council Member
Ts. Karna is a seasoned Technical Officer at Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) with a focus on electrical and electronics engineering. He also serves as the Chairman of the Technological Association Malaysia-Aviation Working Group (TAM-AWG) and is a TAM Council Member. With a Master of Science degree from Golden State University and certifications from the Malaysia Industrial Training Institute, he brings expertise in data integrity, calibration, and technical support. He is recognised as a Professional Technologist by the Malaysian Board of Technologists and has been honored with the Pingat Jasa Kebaktian (P.J.K) for his contributions.
Ts. Mohd Azeem bin Hj Laikar Ali is a seasoned aviation professional with extensive experience in aircraft maintenance and quality assurance. Currently serving as a Quality Assurance Inspector at the Weststar Group of Companies, Azeem is responsible for ensuring that Part 145 and CAMO operations comply with all regulatory requirements. His career spans over two decades, including roles as a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer at MHS Aviation Berhad and various positions at Malaysia Airlines, where he gained expertise in engine maintenance and aircraft systems. Azeem holds an Advanced Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance and Certifications from the Malaysia Institute of Aviation.

Ts. Uma Shangery Aruldass is a passionate aerospace professional and an advocate for space sustainability. Currently serving as the Technical Services and Planning Manager at Berjaya Air, Ts. Uma holds a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering and a Master's in Aviation Management. Recognised as a Professional Technologist (Ts) by the Malaysian Board of Technologists (MBOT), she is an accomplished HRDF-certified trainer, TEDx speaker, and active science communicator. Uma has been involved in prestigious international initiatives, including the Space Debris Management Program, the KiboCube Academy by UNOOSA and JAXA, and the Space4Women Expert Meeting. She is also an award-winning participant in the ICAO's case study competition and has contributed extensively to aerospace and aviation literature.
